Who we are

WhiskerCraft is published by Freistil ApS, Åvej 9, 6510 Gram, Denmark, CVR 45808491. Freistil ApS is responsible for the personal information we handle as described in this policy. You can contact us at [email protected].

This policy covers the WhiskerCraft game, our handling of game-related support requests, and the WhiskerCraft website at whiskercraft.clowdr.dev. Data handling depends on your platform, the version you use, the features that are enabled, and your privacy choices.

Game progress and settings

WhiskerCraft stores progress and preferences on your device, including your resources, upgrades, companions, gameplay statistics, language, audio settings and timestamps used to calculate offline progress. Where purchases are enabled, the save also contains records needed to prevent the same purchase from being rewarded twice.

The current game does not upload your saved progress to a game account or a cloud-save service operated by us. It does not require a WhiskerCraft account. Operating-system or platform backup features may separately back up app data under that platform's settings and privacy policy.

You can remove local game data using your device's app-data controls where available, or by removing the app and its stored data. Browser versions store progress in browser storage; clearing that site's stored data removes the local save. Removing a save can permanently remove your progress. Device or platform backups may need to be managed separately.

Advertising and privacy choices

Mobile versions include optional rewarded-ad functionality using Unity LevelPlay, with ironSource advertising and integrations for Unity Ads and Google AdMob. Availability depends on the advertising services enabled for that version. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) manages advertising privacy messages and choices. Advertising becomes available only after the required configuration and privacy checks.

When these services operate, advertising providers may receive device or advertising identifiers where permitted, IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device and app information, ad interactions and performance or diagnostic information. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where permitted by your choices, personalize advertising. Consent records are used to remember and communicate your privacy choices.

Where required, a privacy message explains the available choices and relevant partners before ads are requested. You can revisit those choices through Privacy options in the game's Settings when that option is available. Refusing personalized advertising does not prevent ordinary gameplay; it may limit which ads or optional ad rewards are available. An ad request being permitted does not mean you have agreed to every advertising purpose.

On iOS, permission for tracking across other companies' apps and websites, including access to Apple's advertising identifier, is separate from advertising consent. Where a version requests that permission, it uses Apple's system permission prompt. You can manage it in your device's tracking settings. Android provides device settings for managing the advertising identifier.

The partner list in the advertising privacy message provides additional details about the partners covered by your choices. These providers may process information for their own purposes under their policies as well as providing services to us.

Purchases

Paid purchases are not enabled in the current pre-release configuration. If we enable them, we will update this policy to describe the active purchase services and receipt-verification arrangements before they are used. Test rewards provided without payment do not require your payment-card information.

Support and communications

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include, such as your name, device details, screenshots or a description of a problem. We use that information to answer your request, investigate problems and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details or information unrelated to your request.

Visiting the WhiskerCraft website

Our website uses Hostinger for hosting and Cloudflare for delivery and security. When you visit, these services process technical request information such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information and security events to deliver and protect the site.

Website privacy choices are separate from the game's advertising choices. This privacy-policy page does not add advertising or analytics tags, and does not use cookies or browser storage to remember website preferences. A website visit does not itself grant permission for personalized advertising in the game.

See Hostinger's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy for their data handling. Websites and stores you reach through external links have their own policies.

Why we process information

Where the GDPR applies, we use consent for processing that requires it, including optional advertising personalization and non-essential access to information on your device. We use information necessary to provide a service you request on the basis of performing our contract with you. We rely on legitimate interests for proportionate support, security and fraud prevention, and on legal obligations where we must retain or disclose information by law. Consent-required processing is not replaced by a claim of legitimate interests.

You can withdraw consent through the relevant privacy controls. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not change the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Sharing and international processing

Information is handled by the providers identified above when their services are used, and by service providers needed to handle communications. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Advertising data sharing may fall within legal definitions of a sale or sharing of personal information in some jurisdictions; the applicable privacy controls and rights govern those activities.

Some providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal information subject to the GDPR, we use applicable safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Providers' policies describe their own transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to information we handle.

Retention and security

Local game data remains in your app or browser storage until it is removed or replaced, subject to platform backup behavior. We retain support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the matter and meet applicable legal obligations. Advertising and infrastructure providers retain information according to their purposes and policies; deleting your local save does not automatically delete their records.

We use appropriate measures to protect information we handle, including protected connections for the website and access controls for communications. No device, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict processing, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising. You can send requests to [email protected]. We may need proportionate information to verify and locate the relevant records. You will not be penalized for exercising applicable privacy rights.

We can help with information we handle. For data held independently by an advertising provider or platform, its privacy policy explains its request process. We do not hold a server copy of your local game save. We respond within the periods required by applicable law.

You can complain to your local data-protection authority. In Denmark, this is Datatilsynet.

Children and parents

WhiskerCraft is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children.

The current game does not ask players for their age or date of birth. If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a child's information, contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and take appropriate steps concerning information we hold. Device, store and advertising-provider controls may also be relevant.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the game's features or data handling change and update the date above. Where a change requires new consent, we will request it before the relevant processing. Continuing to play does not replace consent where consent is required.

The current policy is available at whiskercraft.clowdr.dev/privacy.
